Makhraj is a term in tajweed science which means the place of articulation, or the place where Hijaiyah letters are pronounced. Understanding the makhraj of letters is very important for reading the Qur’an correctly because correct pronunciation according to its makhraj will ensure that the meaning of the verse does not change.
